Abstract:
A reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the determination of cresotrazole and cresotrazotrisiloxane in sunscreen cosmetics. Sunscreen cosmetics were extracted with water-tetrahydrofuran-methanol solvent, filtered, and separated on an Agilent C18 column (250 × 4.6, 5 μm) with formic acid/water (0.1%).-Methanol-tetrahydrofuran (2:9:9,V/V/V) for mobile equivalence elution, detection wavelength at 340 nm, high performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) qualitative and quantitative analysis was performed. The linear range of the two kinds of sunscreen was 5.0~500 mg/L, the correlation coefficient was 0.999, the limit of quantification was 5.0 mg/kg, the recovery rate was 90% ~ 110%, the relative standard deviation (n = 6) was less than 10%. The method is suitable for the simultaneous determination of cresotrazole and cresotrazole trisiloxane in sunscreen cosmetics.Key words:

Abstract:
A high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the simultaneous determination of hexyl diethylaminohydroxybenzoyl benzoate and cresyltrazotrisiloxane in sunscreen cosmetics. Accurately weigh a certain amount of mixed sample, after extraction and filtration by mobile phase (V mass fraction 0.1% formic acid/water: V methanol: V tetrahydrofuran = 2:6:2), using Welch Xtimate? A C18 column (250 × 4.6 × 5 μm) was used for separation, followed by gradient elution with this mobile phase. The detection wavelengths were 305 nm and 355 nm, respectively. The two kinds of sunscreen had good linearity in the corresponding concentration range (r>0.999), the recovery rate was 85% ~ 107%, and the relative standard deviation was less than 3%. The method is simple, accurate, sensitive and suitable for the determination of two kinds of sunscreen in cosmetics.Key words:
